As the first month of 2016 fades away, we continue on our tradition to bring to you the latest and best in hairstyle, makeup and salon trends.
Today we will talk to you about the hairstyles that we believe have a potential to be the best in 2016.
They are,
The Fade
The fade has been a favorite for men for ages now. There are three stages of fades, namely the low, the mid and the high cut.
The great thing about the hairstyle is that it offers something great for everyone in a way that it allows you to do whatever you want with the top length of your hair, also, it accepts all hair types whether they are thin or thick.
The Undercut
The Undercut is defined as short on the sides and long on the top. We did an entire post on this (link post).
The Undercut is a definitive, in your face hairdo that only the boldest can carry. There are primarily two kinds of undercut. The disconnected undercut stops rather abruptly and the faded undercut will have a gradual fade to it.
The great thing about the undercut is that there is one for each hair type. Even when you have curly hair, there is one for you.
The Man Bun
Do not confuse this with the top knot. The top knot will have faded sides and the man bun does not. The hairdo relies strongly on your ability to carry it. We say this because it is an insanely difficult hairdo to pull off, because of the sheer time and the effort that goes in growing hair long enough for a bun and keeping them healthy that way.
Also, we feel that a feedback from your family is needed when you consider the fact that the hairstyle is a rather bold statement.
The Pomapadour
Made famous by the king of pop, the legendary Elvis Presley himself the pompadour features short hair at the back and sides with rather long hair at the top. The characteristic feature of the hairdo is the “pomp”, which is a large volume of long hair at the front that gradually fades as you move towards the back.
This is the top hairstyle trend for 50 years or so now. There are two variations,
1. The extreme pomp- Over 6 inches
2. The regular one(recommended)- Between 3-6 inches
The Classic Side Part
There is a reason why we call it a classic, and that is because the hairdo offers a clean and professional look that suits all hair types and is great for all professional setups and every other occasion that you might think.
We really believe that these are the hairstyles that will rule 2016. What do you say?
